Presentation of The Breast Cancer Research Stamp — One Stitch at a Time

Smithsonian National Postal Museum
Washington, DC  October 4, 2006

Senator Dianne Feinstein, unable to be in Washington for the event, honored us with a videotaped message.  She humbly thanked us for giving her this tribute and lauded us for our efforts on behalf of the Breast Cancer Research Stamp and in support of Living Beyond Breast Cancer.   She suggested the wall hangings tour throughout California, stopping at post offices along the way.  Thanks to Allen Kane, Director of the Smithsonian National Postal Museum, who graciously agree to let us take the wall hangings back temporarily, plans are beginning to take shape to accomplish the task.

Ms. Olivia Rodriguez and Ms. Jill Wilkilleus, legislative aides to Senator Feinstein accepted the award on her behalf.
